1528. 🇬🇬 Guernsey Cruise Ship Post And Go Stamps 2019.

🇬🇬 Guernsey Post is now sending out its ‘Visiting cruise ships’ Post and Go series for 2019 to Philatelic customers who had preordered them.The issue is made up of 36 Post and Go ‘50th anniversary of Guernsey Old Car Club’ strips of 6 different stamps with additional inscriptions which welcomed passengers of individual cruise ships which visited Guernsey. The inscriptions were applied on the dates of the ships’ visits to port and dispensed from kiosk GG03 situated in the Guernsey Information Centre in St Peter Port. The 36 strips are those which were produced on each ship’s first visit to port of 2019 (though some ship names are duplicated if their visits took place on the same day as another cruise ship, the stamp thus bearing an inscription naming both ships). The ship’s name is usually preceded by Bienvenu which is “Welcome” in Guernsisiase. Inscriptions were also applied to Post and Go stamps for subsequent visits of any cruise ships that visited the island individually but I have not seen any of them so I can not say if the inscriptions are different from those used on the ships’ first visits. I do hope not.

- 20 - Marina

May 2019 - 1st - MSC Preziosa

- 2 - Crown Princess

- 16 - Queen Mary II/MSC Orchestra

- 18 - Arcadia

- 21 - Ocean Majesty

- 31 - Sapphire Princess/Britannia
