1735. 🇬🇧 Royal Mail Bugged.

🇬🇧 Royal Mail will issue, for no obvious reason, a set of 6 stamps (3 vertically se-tenant pairs) on 1 October 2020 of the subject of ‘Brilliant bugs’ - colourful insects - with, it appears no additional miniature sheets and booklets and so on. It is a lovely set but I can not understand why the date of issue was chosen to be mid-autumn when insects are increasingly hard to find in The United Kingdom. The set was designed by Royal Mail Group Ltd from beautiful art work by Richard Lewington and lithographed by International Security Printers and the Stamps are perforated 14 x 14.5.
Stamps using the art of Richard Lewington were released previously by Royal Mail in 2013 (butterflies) and 2015 (insects). This is a lovely set but quite unnecessary in an already overcrowded new issue programme. Rating:- *.

🇯🇪 The Post and Go stamps mentioned in Blog 1733 to be dispensed from Jersey Post’s kiosk JE03 from 1 to 3 October 2020 to commemorate the philatelic service’s participation in the Virtual Autumn Stampex 2020 exhibition are now illustrated below:-

🇮🇳 India Post has issued a single My Post stamp in the usual format of sheets of 12, each stamp having an attached label, on the subject of India’s first anti-satellite missile, which sounds rather menacing. The sheet is sold, as always, at a premium price.
