1728. 🇳🇿 New Zealand Post Commemorates The 2020 Olympic Games.

🇳🇿 Curiously New Zealand Post will issue a set of 6 stamps and 1 miniature sheet containing all 6 stamps on 7 October 2020 to commemorate the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo which of course did not take place because of the COVID-19 pandemic but which have been postponed until (optimistically) summer 2021. I assume that New Zealand Post had these items on its hands and wanted to get its money back although the timing is a little odd. This is a gloomy-looking set with a sparing use of colour and it might have been better if it had remained unissued but perhaps the depressing designs are apt for this pandemic philatelic era. The issue was designed by Hannah Fortune and lithographed by Southern Colour Print and is perforated 14.5 x 14. Rating:- *.

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka Post issued a single stamp on 2 September 2020 to commemorate the Cultural Pageant. The stamp was lithographed and is perforated 12.5 x 14. Rating:- ****.

🇰🇮 Below are illustrations of the 4 stamps issued by the Kiribati postal administration on 31 August 2020 on the subject of solar energy which I mentioned in Blog 1726 where an illustration of the miniature sheet can be seen.
