1041. 🇬🇬🇫🇰 Guernsey's Caribbean Princess New Inscription; Falklands Pipit Booklet.

🇬🇬 Guernsey Post Philatelic Bureau "tweeted" on 13 July 2017 that Post and Go kiosk GG01 was dispensing on that day strips of "Lighthouses" stamps with the inscription ""Welcome to the / Caribbean Princess" to welcome that cruise ship's passengers into port that day. As can be seen from the illustrations displayed below, the inscription for this visit of the ship is different from that of the first visit stamps to be dispensed on 21 April 2017 when the inscription was simply "Caribbean/Princess".

🇫🇰 In addition to the basic definitive set to be issued on 14 August 2017 by the Falkland Islands postal service which I mentioned in Blog 1040 a booklet of 10 x "Local rate" value stamps will be issued with a design depicting a Falkland pipit. This is a lovely stamp designed by Andrew Robinson. Thanks again to Juliet Warner of Pobjoy Stamps for information about this issue. Rating:- *****.

🇸🇱 This week only one Commonwealth Philatelic entity -Sierra Leone - has had its name printed on the latest paraphilatelic products emanating from Stamperija. This release is made up of 10 sheetlets each containing 4 different stamps and 10 miniature sheets each containing a single stamp. In addition there are multiple variants on offer of the WWF Lesser Flamingo issue mentioned in Blog 1030 including a single stamp miniature sheet not mentioned in Blog 1030.
The subjects featured in this issue are:- Butterflies, Turtles, Dolphins, Stamps on Stamps, Sea shells, Orchids, Dugongs, Snakes, Bee eaters and Mushrooms - nothing we haven't seen before. Rating:- 0.
