851. Poppy Post And Go Stamps Reissued With Code MA16.

As mentioned in Blog 836, the Poppy Post and Go labels have been reintroduced into NCR kiosks in ordinary post offices and IAR kiosks in enquiry offices by Royal Mail. The items which I bought from 2 of the kiosks in the Pinfold Street post office in Birmingham yesterday were new stamps because they had the new code MA16 printed on them. I have not yet seen any IAR kiosk-printed poppy stamps being offered for sale on internet auction sites by Post and Go entrepreneurs but there are of course only a small number of enquiry office sites from which some items are available. The Poppy stamps are being sold from 24 October to 13 November 2016. Rating:- ****.
In Blog 844 I made a mistake writing that there were 3 additional sheetlets of "Heroes against ebola" from Sierra Leone because I thought that the 4th sheet being offered for sale was the original sheet of 8 x Le3500 values. In fact the 4th sheet is almost identical to the original sheet of Blog 671 but is made up of 8 x Le2000 values so there are now a total of 5 sheets in existence of this tribute to those who helped to pull Sierra Leone through the terrible period of 2014 to 2015.

The Swaziland postal service has issued a set of 5 stamps to commemorate the holding of the 36th SADC (Southern African Development Community) in Swaziland from 22 to 31 August 2016. This colourful set mainly features the flags of the member countries and is the first set of stamps to have been issued by the Swaziland postal service since 2013. I do not yet know the precise date of issue. Rating:- ****.

The latest paraphilatelic items to be "issued" on 1 September 2016 by Stamperija are inscribed with the name of Solomon Islands and are made up of 12 "sheetlets", each containing 4 different "stamps" along with "12 miniature sheets". The subjects covered, only one or two of which have any relevance to the islands themselves, are "European monarchies", 500 th death anniversary of Hieronymus Bosch, "the World of chess", "Tribute to Elvis Presley", Dinosurs, Dolphins, Butterflies, "Tribute to Bud Spencer", 260th birth anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the World's biggest aircraft, Mushrooms and Lighthouses. Rating:- 0.

Although I'd hoped that I would not have to mention any more Stamperija products inscribed "Maldives" as the country had left The Commonwealth on 13 October 2016, I have been thwarted by the fact that yet another "issue" has been put out by the Lithuania-based philatelic agency with a stated "date of issue" of 8 September 2016 - that is - before Maldives withdrew.
The "issue" is made up of 10 "sheetlets", each of 4 different "stamps" and 10 "miniature sheets" and depicts various art movements:- Ancient Egyptian art, Renaissance, Rococo, Islamic art, Baroque, Surrealism, Impressionism, Post-impressionism, Dutch golden age, and Cubism. All designs are similar and it is not worthwhile wasting time depicting all the stuff but 1 example is depicted below. Rating:- 0.

Actually, I couldn't resist illustrating another of these sets just to point out how hopeless this stuff is - to Stamperija and "designer" - "Renaissance" is spelt with 1 "n":-
