16 February 2023 - X Men - details expected soon. A sheet of 6 of the stamps (2nd Class domestic rate issued as strips of 6 se-tenant stamps) is currently being offered for sale on an internet auction site. This issue features American Comic characters with no relevance to the United Kingdom. Numerous expensive paraphilatelic products are expected to accompany this issue. The designs are similar to previous issues featuring American comics characters and as such are unoriginal and very dull. Rating:- 0.
The designs once more include a cameo of Queen Elizabeth II.
2nd class? That makes a change from the previous cash-in issues which were expensive because of the high values.

Not just involved, but commissioned to provide exclusive artwork for Royal Mail. Expect more details tomorrow (2 Feb)
DeleteSo even the few who actually want X-Men artwork on their stamps are going to be disappointed - it's just a fanboi/fetishist imitation of the actual Marvel drawings.
