770. Low Hanging Fruit.

I find it difficult to be excited about a stamp issue which features "Nostalgic fruit labels" but clearly it's a subject of importance to Australia Post as it is the cause of the issue of a large number of upcoming philatelic products on 7 June 2016. There will be:-

a basic set of 4 x $1 different gummed stamps (total cost $4):-

  A coil strip of 4 x $1 self-adhesive stamps (total cost $4):-

  A $10 booklet of 10 x $1 self-adhesive stamps:-

A "Concertina sheetlet pack", cost $42, which contains 4 sheetlets of 10 stamps:-

And for good measure, a $16 26-page "Prestige booklet":-

This all adds up to a rather expensive purchase of fruit - the above collection of products totals $76 (£38.19). Rating:- *

A single $1 stamp was issued on 31 May 2016 to commemorate the centenary of the Returned and Services  League. The stamp was issued in gummed format as well as self-adhesive from a $20 booklet and was designed by Janet Boschen and lithographed by McKellar Renown and perforated 14.5 x 14. Total cost of these items:- $21 (£10.56). Rating:- ***.

Malta Post will issue 4 stamps on 21 June 2016 on the subject of "Seasons" as its contribution to the annual SEPAC omnibus released by the postal administrations of small European states. The issue was designed by Tony Calleja and lithographed by Printex and perforated 14. Rating:- ****.
