I like the above stamps - they are interesting and attractive - but it is clear that the IOM Post Office releases far, far too many issues which are too expensive, especially for such a small territory, and therefore I rate all of its products as just *.

1520.๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ผ Excessive Malawi Issues Are Dull And Expensive.

๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ผ The postal service of Malawi will issue yet another set of 6 single-stamp miniature sheets plus a sheetlet containing 6 different stamps on 8 October 2019 on the subject of Domestic birds of Malawi. This constant flow of similar, numerous and not very well designed sheets is not only far too expensive for collectors but now really quite tiresome. This latest issue is on a particularly dull subject. One of the single-stamp miniature sheets and the sheetlet of 6 are depicted below. Rating:- *.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ Pakistan Post released a single stamp on 4 October 2015 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Commission On Science and Technology For Sustainable Development in Global South, otherwise known (apparently) as COMBATS. Rating:- **.

๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Sri Lanka Post issued a single stamp on 1 October 2019 to commemorate World Children’s Day. A cheerful little stamp. Rating:- ***.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Singapore Post will issue a set of 4 stamps on 8 October 2019 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Istana, the official residence of the President of Singapore. The issue was designed by Francis Theo and lithographed by Secura Singapore and perforated 13. Rating:- ****.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ The postal service of Uganda released a single stamp on 2 October 2019 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Birth of Mahatma Gandhi. The illustration below is what is shown on the Uganda Post Office’s Facebook page and the issued stamp does not include the red area at the lower left. Rating:- ***.

1475. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Food From South Georgia, Shops In Fiji And Falklands Feathers.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ธ The postal service of South Georgia And The South Sandwich Islands will release a set of 6 stamps (as 3 se-tenant pairs) on the subject of Food in South Georgia on 15 August 2019. There is no doubt that Creative Direction which is responsible for the production of the territory’s stamps very regularly comes up with an original approach to the stamps which it prepares for the several territories which are its clients and this is an original theme for a place such as South Georgia.
Another example, this time an issue for The Falkland Islands, of the originality of Creative Direction’s approach to its clients’ stamps, particularly in subject matter, is described below. The issue was designed by Bee Design using photographs by Gerard Baker, Andy Blake, Peter Lafite and Robert Burton and lithographed by Cartor and perforated 13.5. Rating:- *****.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฏ Fiji Post has issued a set of 5 stamps titled ‘The Legacy of Serving’ to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Morris Hedstrom Ltd. which is Fiji’s largest wholesaler and retailer. The interesting issue was designed by Pravin Sen and lithographed by Southern Colour Print. I do not yet know the date of issue. Rating:- ****.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Falklands Postal Service will issue a set of 6 stamps on 5 August 2019 on the subject of the Feathers of local birds. This is an original and unusual approach to the theme of Birds on stamps. The set was designed from photographs taken by Georgina Strange with production co-ordination by Creative Direction and lithography by Cartor. The stamps are perforated 13.5. Rating:- ****.

Thanks to Juliet Warner of Pobjoy Stamps for information about this issue.

Falklands Post Services also reissued the Local Rate definitive stamp on 6 August 2019 with a ‘2019’ imprint and sold in Booklets of 10. Depicting a Falkland pipit this is a very attractive stamp. Rating:- ***.
