12 December 2024 - Reptiles of the Caribbean area - 2 miniature sheets, one made up of 6 different stamps and the other of 2 different stamps. Rating:- 0.

🇬🇩 Products inscribed Grenada -

24 March 2025 - Definitives - 7 stamps (25c, 50c, $1, $1.50, $4, $5 and $500, Eastern Caribbean currency, the set is presently being sold by IGPC for US$189.55). Lithographed. See note below illustrations.

Although the above stamps appear to be being offered as new issues by IGPC it seems to me that the only new stamp is the $4 value and all the other stamps may be reprints or are just the original versions added to the new $4. I have covered these stamps before in Blog 2465.

Previous issue dates were -

4 November 2022 - 50c, $1.50, $5, $500 plus $100 (not included in present ‘issue’)

19 December 2023 - 25c, 50c, $1 and $5 (for the second time)

For the present at least I view the $4 as the only new stamp to have been released on 24 March 2025.

25 May 2025 - Commemoration of Mata Karma, 1016-1064, devotee of Krishna. According to India Post, Mata Karma’a life “is an exceptional example of devotion, courage and social service”. It is told that she embarked on a journey to Jagannath Puri and arriving at Puri she was asked by the temple attendants to cook khichdi, a traditional dish, which was accepted by Krishna. Designed by Ms Himani and printed by Security Printing Press, Hyderabad. Rating:- ***.

Therefore, by the end of August, 37 of the 89 (41.6%) Commonwealth philatelic entities (Mozambique has been added to the list as it once more has a functioning postal service) are not known to have issued or had issued on their behalf, any legitimate postage stamps in 2024. This compares with the figure of 43 (48.9%) at the end of July 2024 and the figure of 33 out of 88 (37.5) at the end of August 2023.
