For the record, the six stamps which head this post are not misperforated - all the stamps are like that, as are all the stamps illustrated in the Royal Mail Philatelic Bulletin.
ReplyDeleteOne person has suggested that this format makes the white edges look like goalposts. If that is the case, it is surprising that Royal Mail did not mention it as they did with James Bond's 007 perforation, and the Lifeboats morse code perforation.
