New issues.

🇳🇷 Nauru Post -

26 October 2022 - ANGAM Day, Centenary of the Birth of Sir Hammer de Robert, first President of Nauru - 1 stamp. Rating:- ****.

An illustration of the stamp itself is not yet available however the photographs taken at a ceremony where the Secretary for Nauru Post presented a first day cover and possibly a presentation pack to another politician which were posted on Nauru Post Facebook page clearly show that the issue was made up of one stamp featuring a photographic portrait of Sir Hammer de Roburt. The post stated the date of issue as 26 October 2022.

🇰🇮 Kiribati postal service -

28 October 2022 - The COVID-19 pandemic - 4 stamps. Rating:- *****.

This issue is offered for sale of the internet auction site of Spectre of Stamps (a dealer in Norway).

Paraphilatelic products.

The Estonia-based company Stampsdaq has reached an agreement with Botswana Post to produce NFTS of previous Botswana stamps. A post from the Universal Postal Union states that, “The partnership aims to help develop common philately dedicated NFT ecosystem” (whatever that means).

2150. 🇵🇬 Post PNG First To Announce Planned In Memory Issue For The Queen.

Stamp Programmes for 2022.

🇵🇬 Post PNG (postal service of Papua New Guinea) -

Now showing on the Post PNG stamps internet site are four issues planned for November 2022 including an issue titled In Loving Memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926 - 2022. This is the first issue I have seen announced as being planned to commemorate the late Queen. No details of the planned issue are given on the internet site. The late Queen was of course Queen of Papua New Guinea as well as 14 other realms and so it is not surprising that the government and people of the country would want to commemorate Her Majesty on a set of a postage stamps. As King Charles III has succeeded to the throne of Papua New Guinea we should expect an issue of stamps during 2023 to commemorate his coronation.

Here are the details of Post PNG’s planned issues:-

November 2022 - Freshwater Fish

November 2022 - Insects

November 2022 - Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II

November 2022 - ‘In Loving Memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’
