A cheerful and worthwhile subject but why are they not commemorated in a simple stamp set and why not use the previous Morecambe and Wise commemorative stamp instead of the Union Flag stamps?

14 August 2025 - 50th anniversary of Monty Python, BBC television comedy series & film - 6 stamps (3 vertically se-tenant pairs, (cost £10.20p), 1 miniature sheet containing 4 different self-adhesive stamps (Monty Python and The Holy Grail, cost £6.80p), 1 miniature sheet containing the 6 different stamps in self -adhesive format with labels (£11.40p, ‘Collectors sheeet), 1 miniature sheet containing 3 identical self-adhesive  stamps with labels (Monty Python and The Holy Grail ‘fan sheet’, cost £7.50p) and 1 ‘Gold miniature sheet’, cost £149.99p). Designed by Common Curiosity and lithographed by Cartor and perforated 14.5. 

Great designs celebrating British humour as it was 50 years ago but now long lost under the pressure of political correctness and pofacedness and the need to be offended. An excessive issue with grossly unnecessary extra items (yes, I know they’re for the fans) but let’s give the basic set & miniature sheet a full blown ***** in memory of a lost Britain and its zany, rude sense of humour.

14 January 2024 - 30th anniversary of the first broadcast of The Vicar of Dibley, a charming, inoffensive  but generally unremarkable BBC comedy television programme - 8 gummed stamps (4 se-tenant pairs) costing £12.60p, 1 miniature sheet containing 4 different stamps costing £6.60 and 1 ‘Collectors sheet’ containing 10 self-adhesive stamps with attached labels sold for £17.10p. 3 September 2024 - Porridge, vintage BBC Television comedy programme set in a prison (‘porridge’ is slang for serving a term of imprisonment for criminal activities) - 8 stamps (4 se-tenant pairs, total cost £13.40p) and 1 ‘Collectors sheet’ containing 10:stamps with attached labels (sold for £17.30). Meanwhile, anyone interested in a philatelic bowl of real porridge may recall this stamp from An Post which was issued on 16 July 2015 as part of a set of 4 with an accompanying miniature sheet. The set was titled - “Ireland - the Food island”  -
