The 10 stamps as featured on an upcoming Buckingham Covers first day cover -

Australia Post has issued a stamp to celebrate a million refugees since WWII on 16 June, though I know some post offices were selling it at least a fortnight earlier. Given the format I suspect that its not part of the official stamp program (as its similar to a MyStamp): https://auspost.com.au/shop/product/a-million-stories-one-shared-future-sheetlet-7213250
ReplyDeleteThank you. I will include it in the next post.
DeleteThe Waterfalls issue is not even in the royal mail shop yet! I spoke to them today the agent had no idea why they were not available to pre order, RM must be losing £££££ thanks though WK I can rely on you .
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind message. You are right, the stamps are not yet featured on the RM site even though they were featured on its Facebook page 2 or 3 days ago & the presentation pack is being offered on e bay. I will post more information when it becomes available. The set is very much typical of what RM is producing now - a photograph with the king’s head, the value & a bit of text in an unimaginative font on a random subject not linked to any particular event or anniversary. Each design could be produced by AI in a matter of seconds and though the stamps may be attractive they are unimaginative, unnecessary and lacking in any degree of merit. There are far too many issues & all of them far too expensive. I buy very few of them now. Royal Mail badly needs to review its new issue policies.
