602. Jersey Commemorates World War I And Queen Elizabeth's Record Reign; Kiribati Overprints Bird Stamps For Singapore 2015.

Jersey Post will issue a set of 6 stamps and 2 miniature sheets on 4 August 2015 as the second part of its series of issues on the subject of the centenary of the First World War. One of the miniature sheets contains all 6 values and the second sheet contains a single £1 value stamp which depicts Flt Lt Charles Mossop DSC, a Jerseyman who became the first man to sink an enemy submarine from the air and the first Jerseyman to land a plane in the island. The issue was designed by Chris Ede.
Jersey Post will also release 4 stamps and 1 miniature sheet printed on silk on 9 September 2015 to commemorate the achievement of Queen Elizabeth II in becoming the longest reigning British monarch in history. The designs of the issue, which are portraits of The Queen, have not yet been made public.

Sri Lanka Post issued 1 stamp on 8 July 2015 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Department of Archaeology. The design depicts HCP Bell who was the first Archaeology Commissioner of Sri Lanka. Tied to this issue was an accompanying 4 stamps and 1 miniature sheet which depicted medieval era sculptures of Sri Lanka. These were also released on 8 July 2015:-

The Kiribati postal service will issue 4 stamps on 17 July 2015 to commemorate the Singapore 2015 Philatelic Exhibition. The set is made up of 4 values from the 2008 definitive series, which depicts various local birds, with overprints and surcharges applied. The 4 values will be 40c on 90c, 60c on $5, $1 and $2 (the last two are without surcharge). Although I do not yet have illustrations of the new stamps I depict below the 4 original stamps which will be overprinted to produce the new commemorative set. The 40c value will be produced in greater numbers than the others so that it can be used in "philatelic passports" at the exhibition:-
