2782.🇲🇾🇵🇳 Malaysia Issue Features Tourism Destinations, Pitcairn Commemorates 19th Century Doctor.

🇵🇳 Bounty Post (postal service of the Pitcairn Islands) -

? August 2025 - Commemoration of Dr William and Mrs Emily Ancrum who cared for Pitcairn Islands children in Valparaiso in the 19th century - 3 stamps issued in sheets of 30 (2 panes of 5 x 3 in se-tenant strips with gutters in between panes). This issue was reported by BBC Gloucestershire on 18 August 2025 in a short article about the Ancrums’ historian descendant who provided the portraits used in the designs, Mr Michael Richards from Cheltenham. The article includes the comment, “Tower  Mint The stamps had to be approved by the King before being used”.These stamps do not appear on the Tower Stamps internet site nor anywhere else and so may not have been issued yet even though a photograph of Mr Richards shown holding a sheet of the stamps is included in the article. Perhaps there have been delays in the granting of royal approval as with the Guernsey/Sark Liberation anniversary set.
