Do we know if the overprints are legitimate? There’s so many of them and it seems odd that they are all on the same value.
ReplyDeleteI think that they are legitimate. This has been the pattern of issuing such overprints on the old bird definitives for years.and they usually appear on the market without warning & do not feature on the Fiji Post internet philatelic page. There’s no reason to think they are anything other than intended for postal use in Fiji.
DeleteI suppose if non-circulating gold coins in presentation packs are considered collectable items, the same might apply to 'gold' stamps not intended for postal use.
