30 September 2025 - New tariff £3.40 definitive - 1 stamp. Printed in gravure by Cartor. Self-adhesive. Perforated 15 x 14.5. Rating:- **. Why are the colours (this is ‘dark green’) used for these stamps so depressing?


🇸🇬 Singapore Post -

19 September 2025 - Joint issue with the postal service of Thailand - 1 miniature sheet containing both stamps was also issued in addition to the 2 single stamps described in Blog 2787.


🇲🇲 Myanmar Post -

? September 2025 - Butterflies of Myanmar - 1 miniature sheet containing 11 previously issued stamps reissued combined in a miniature sheet of one of each stamp. Rating:- ****.

Therefore, on 1 October, 37 out of 88 (42.0%) Commonwealth philatelic entities appear to have not issued, or not had issued on their behalf, any legitimate postage stamps during 2025. This compares with 50.0% at the end ofAugust and 37.1% at the end of September 2025.

  1. The CIIIR definitives from the UK are extremely unappealing. I'd welcome any replacement. The colour palette is terrible for all the stamps - the white on the "make up values" is dreadful as well, and don't start me on the huge barcode. I wonder if the UK post office could ask the Germans or Finns how to put a smaller barcode on their stamps and then issue something more attractive! It's almost impossible to buy anything other than the Charles "ear" stamps these days.
