Buckingham Covers has revealed the design of its cover for the Steam Locomotives issue and by doing so has revealed the designs of the six stamps to be issued by Royal Mail to commemorate an important event - of national and international significance - the bicentenary of the Stockton and Darlington railway. Doubtless there will be a number of accompanying items which will push up the price of buying ‘one of everything” that makes up the issue.
I think these are worth more than three stars you old curmudgeon.
ReplyDeleteWK replying — The stamps are quite good & I especially like those in the miniature sheet & they commemorate an inportant anniversary but I set them against the background of 16 stamp issues during 2025 (not to mention definitive variants & regionals) at enormous cost and mark them down accordingly. I really wish I didn’t have to be curmudgeonly.
