2 November 2023 - Christmas, lines from Christmas carols - 5 self-adhesive stamps from sheets, 2 self-adhesive booklets (the first containing 8 x 2nd class domestic rate stamps and the second containing 8 x 1st stamps, 1 gummed miniature sheet containing 1 of each stamp and 1 ‘Collectors sheet’ containing 20 stamps and sold for £26. Designed by Steers McGillan Eves from illustrations by Tom Duxbury and printed in photogravure by Cartor and perforated 15 x 14.5. Rating:- ****.

Four stars?? For a few artist impressions - very generous!!
ReplyDeleteWK - I think they’re rather attractive & like the depiction of the Christmas story. I also very much like that there are only 5 stamps this year (plus extras of course). If only every RM set were made up of just 5 stamps.
ReplyDeleteBut Royal Mail continues with its customary Christmas 'treat' of surrounding the exact same set of stamps with an unsympathetic border graphic in the name of a 'miniature sheet'.
