1831. ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Australia’s Latest Deluge.

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Australia Post’s chronic and unpleasant case of philatorrhea continues unabated with little chance of a cure in the near to medium-term future and even if there were one the patient clearly would refuse to take it like the worst example of a vaccine denier. I make no further comment about the latest list of new issues announced by Australia Post save to warn new issue collectors of a sensitive nature to avert their eyes and hold their noses at what is to follow:-

16 February 2021 - Tribute to Frontline Heroes of the fight against COVID-19 - already detailed in Blog 1828. 5 gummed and 5 self-adhesive stamps (from booklets of 10).

If the above issues are inadequate for someone needing to satiate a voracious appetite for Australian new issues there are also the following which I do not illustrate here because it is a complete waste of time doing so:-

March 2021 - AFL and NRL Football team booklets - 34 different booklets each containing 20 self-adhesive stamps (10 x 2 different designs) and each booklet costing A$25.50c (cost of all 34 booklets is A$867). This issue provides 68 different new stamps.

?March 2021 - various packs usually sold for A$15.50c containing 12 different My Stamps -

Jurassic Park, Camp Cretaceous
Monopoly
Alice In Wonderland
Winnie The Pooh
30th anniversary of The Wiggles

Total cost of packs A$77.50c adding 60 more stamps to the total.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฟ A number of countries will commemorate significant anniversaries of the achievement of their Independence from Great Britain during the course of 2021which may or may not result in the issue of postage stamps to commemorate those anniversaries.

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฒ Southern Cameroons, Independence - 1 October 1961, 60th anniversary, joined Republic of Cameroon. Cameroon commemorative unlikely.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Sierra Leone, Independence - 27 April 1961, 60th anniversary. With Stamperija controlling Sierra Leone new issues who can say if a commemorative issue will be released?

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฌAntigua And Barbuda. Independence - 1 November 1981, 40th anniversary. Commemorative unlikely.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฟ Belize. Independence - 21 September 1981, 40th anniversary. Commemorative unlikely.
