1828. 🇯🇪 🇨🇾🇦🇺 Jersey From The Air, Cyprus Aircraft And Australia’s Frontline Workers.

 

🇯🇪 Jersey Post will issue a very interesting set of 8 stamps on 1 April 2021 on the subject of Jersey From the Air. The set features photographs by Bam Perspectives taken by a drone flying over the island. I particularly like the £1.30p stamp which depicts 4 Jersey cows taken from directly above them so that it is the shadows they cast that gives an idea of the animals’ shapes. These stamps remind me very much of a lot of Royal Mail stamps which have been issued in recent years because of their shape and the way in which the photographs have been used in creating their designs. I like the set but Jersey Post releases far too many stamps and this is just another one of those excessive issues. Pity. Rating:- **.

🇨🇾 Cyprus Post will issue 3 stamps on 18 February 2021 on the subject of Aircraft. I’m not clear why Cyprus Post has chosen to issue a set on this subject at this particular moment but the Cyprus postal service has such a conservative new issue policy that one can hardly complain. Rating:- ***.

🇦🇺 Australia Post will issue a set of 5 se-tenant gummed stamps, 5 self-adhesive stamps from booklets of 10 (2 x 5 of each design) and a gummed miniature sheet on 16 February 2021 to honour the Frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19. A worthy issue. Rating:- ****.
