1543. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ Christmas Bells From Bahamas.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ธ The Bahamas postal service will issue 4 Christmas stamps on 5 December 2019 depicting ‘Christmas Bells’. The set is colourful and festive and should brighten up the Christmas mail in Bahamas but I do not find the subject matter to be particularly exciting. The attractive designs are by Andrew Robinson and lithographed by Cartor and perforated 13.5. Rating:- ****.
Thanks to Juliet Warner of Pobjoy Stamps for information about this issue.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ The postal service of Pakistan has issued items additional to that featured in Blog 1542 to commemorate the 550th anniversary of the birth of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. The additional stamps are a pair of Rs 20 stamps issued vertically se-tenant with attached valueless labels and the same stamps but with their vertical order reversed so that a block of six is formed with the 4 stamps sandwiching the 2 labels. The issue is completed by a miniature sheet containing the 2 stamps. A nice issue. The date of issue was 12 November 2019. Rating:- ****.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฎ The Royal Gibraltar Post Office issued a single stamp on 8 November 2019 as a joint issue with the postal service of Luxembourg which also issued a single stamp with a different design. The theme of the joint issue is ‘Defensive Tunnels’ and the Gibraltar design depicts the Great Siege Tunnels of Gibraltar. The designs are inevitably by Stephen Perera from illustrations by Arnaud De Meyer and the stamps are lithographed by Cartor. Rating:- **.
