Interestingly I note New Zealand Post seems to have changed the country’s name to New Zealand Aotearoa on nearly every one of its recent new issues and in a recent tweet the New Zealand High Commission referred to New Zealanders as “the nation of Aotearoa”. How far away are we from a name change down under?

2023 - Centenary of the American Disney Company - 6 packs each sold for $14.94 ($74.75 for the complete ‘collection’). Each pack contains a sheet of 6 different stamps plus a miniature sheet’ each containing 4 more different stamps. The pack themes are Mickey Mouse and Friends, Disney Celebration, Pixar, Star Wars, Princess and Marvel which results in a total of 36 stamps and 6 miniature sheets containing an additional 24 different stamps. Rating:- 0.

2023 - Kiss (veteran popular music group) - 1 sheetlet containing 12 different stamps, sold for $16.50

2023 - Frozen (Disney cartoon) - 2 sheetlets, one containing 12 different self-adhesive stamps and the other 5 gummed stamps with attached labels. Sold for $23.

2023 - ‘Looney Tunes Mash Up’ - 2 sheetlets each containing 12 different stamps making a total of 24 new stamps. Sold for $32.50.

2023 - Heroes of Dreamworks - 1 sheetlet containing 12 different stamps sold for $17.50.

2023 - ‘Matildas stamp pack (featuring the Australian Women’s national football team) - 1 sheetlet containing 12 different stamps sold for $16.50.

At the end of this little two month-long issuing spree, Australia Post will have added another 151 stamps and 9 miniature sheets to its 2023 total number of stamps issued. Seriously, who does buy this trash?

2246. 🇹🇬 Togo Commemorates National Masonic Lodge.

5 December 2022 - 30th anniversary of the Togo National Masonic Grand Lodge - 1 stamp produced in sheetlets of 4, 1 miniature containing a single stamp plus the same items produced with enhanced gold printing on parts of the stamp and additionally imperforate versions of all the items. This appears to me to be from a source different from the notorious Stamperija which has a contract with the Togo postal service to produce hundreds of miniature sheets with the country’s name printed on them annually and has many of the features of stamps of other Francophone African countries in that the basic stamps are released but accompanied by limited edition extras such as an enhanced or imperforate versions which are sold at a considerable premium. The rating is for the basic stamps only though I like the enhanced versions as well but would not bother with the imperforate versions. Rating:- ****. These items are being sold on an internet auction site by e French Company, Busch Collectables.
