Therefore, at the end of August, 44 out of 88 (50.0%) (one new entity has been added in the form of Bailiwick of Guernsey Sark) of Commonwealth philatelic entities appear to have not issued, or not had issued on their behalf, any legitimate postage stamps during 2025. This compares with 54% at the end of July and 41.6% at the end of August 2024.

ReplyDeleteYes, thank you. I have just seen a post on Stampboards also pointing this out. I have been reading about them on different sites & will mention them in the next Blog. Each stamp is EC$50.

ReplyDeleteYou’re right, it does. This is a picture of prerelease publicity & maybe it was corrected on the actual issued stamps (I am waiting for my set to be delivered). If that really is what the issued stamp shows, then not a great start for Sark as a philatelic entity unless it is a calculated error produced to garner extra publicity for the new philatelic ‘country’ (I’m very cynical).
