Therefore, at the end of January, 72 (81.8%) Commonwealth philatelic entities appear not to have issued, or had issued on their behalf, any legitimate postage stamps during 2025 compared with 84.1% at the end of January 2024. Not surprisingly, the greedy diehards such as Great Britain (Royal Mail), Australia, (Australia Post), Isle Of Man, the Channel Islands (Jersey Post and Guernsey Post) and New Zealand (New Zealand Post) have got off to a brisk start. We await developments.

  At the end of January 2025 the list of philatelic entities which had not issued any known postage stamps during 2024 remained unchanged with 28 territories continuing to be on the list (see Blog 2639).

2657. 🇮🇲 Isle Of Man Issue Features The Art of Archibald Knox.

🇮🇲 Isle Of Man Post Office -

27 February 2025 - ‘Archibald Knox - Order and Beauty’ (the art of Archibald Knox) - 1 sheetlet containing 10 different stamps. Designed by EJC Design with imagery supplied by Manx National Heritage Collection and Peartree Collection and private collections and lithographed by Enschedé and perforated 11.5. Cost of sheetlet - £12.34p. This is a thematic issue and not, as far as I can see, related to any notable anniversary or event. The designs are somewhat lacking in finesse though the theme itself is appealing. Unfortunately the Isle Of Man Post Office releases far too many new issues to make the purchase of this issue seem worthwhile. Rating:- *.

30 January 2025 - The Royal Armouries (this expensive issue does not seem to be related to any particular event or anniversary) - 8 stamps (4 se-tenant pairs) costing £12.60p, 1 miniature sheet containing 4 different stamps (£6.60) and 1 Prestige booklet costing £23.85p) and containing 4 panes including 1 pane which is made up of King Charles III definitives (2 x 50p and 2 x £1). Designed by Charlie Smith Design and lithographed by Cartor and perforated 14.5 x 14. Rating:- **.

An attractive issue but there seems no reason for it to be issued.
