1570. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ New Zealand Post’s Personalised Stamps Of 2019.

๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ I now have the New Zealand Post personalised stamps compiled in a pack for 2019 which I mentioned in Blog 1564. The various stamps - 12 gummed and 2 self-adhesive - cover a range of subjects including Birds.

Gummed stamps:-

There are just 2 self-adhesive stamps:-

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง The Royal Mail Winter Greenery 1st Class rate stamps were dispensed from kiosk A005 with inscription Mail Rail during December 2019. The code is MAIL R17YAL. Rating:- *.

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ช The Jersey Post and Go stamps released on 19 November 2019 were made up by the Jersey Flag stamp inscribed ‘Festive Cheer’ with a Christmas trees icon and the 6 Jersey Crest stamps inscribed Boannes Fรชtes also with a Christmas tree icon. The items were dispensed by kiosk JE02. Rating:- 0.

๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ณ The 2 miniature sheets on the subject of Angelfish released by IGPC with the name of Nevis printed on them have a stated date of issue of 1 September 2019.

1569. ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡บ Birds Of Prey Of Vanuatu.

๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡บ Vanuatu Post issued an excellent set of 4 stamps on 11 December 2019 on the subject of local birds of prey. These are straightforward stamps of local relevance with excellent artistic depictions of the various birds. Rating:- *****.

๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ผ I have not yet noted here that the miniature sheet issued by Botswana Post on 9 October 2019 on the subject of Cranes of Botswana was released in two forms, one of them having additional inscriptions at the bottom of the sheet. The issue was released on 9 October 2019 tied to the fact that the date was World Post Day.

As the year draws to a close with just a week to go before we arrive in 2020, there are still a number of Commonwealth philatelic entities which have not yet, as far as is known, issued any postage stamps. In all 12 ‘countries’ appear to have not released any issues and I additionally note that Gibraltar Swiss Post does not seem to have added any new stamps to its original issue covered previously in Commonwealth Stamps Opinion.

Anguilla
British Virgin Islands
Cameroon
Dominica
Eswatini
Gibraltar (Swiss Post)
Lesotho
Rwanda
St Kitts
Samoa
Solomon Islands
Turks And Caicos Islands
Zambia

๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ฐ I have not yet noted that Hong Kong Post introduced a new series of ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) stamps in 2018 an example of which is depicted below. Three machines were installed initially experimentally - in the General Post Office (PGP01), at Tsim Tsa Shui (PTST01) and at Yuen Long (PYLG01).

1568. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Colourful Embroideries Set From India Post.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India Post issued a set of 12 stamps, each printed in individual sheetlets, and 1 miniature sheet containing all 12 stamps on 18 December 2019 on the subject of Indian embroideries. A very attractive and colourful set. Rating:- ****.

In Blog 1567 I outlined a list of India Post My Stamp issues up to the end of 2019 but I did not have illustrations for all featured issues. I now depict below the issues which were not illustrated. There may be some distortion in some of the illustrations making the stamps look more square-shaped, rather than rectangular, than they actually are.

2019 - 150th anniversary of Kolkata Port Trust - 1 stamp

2019 - 25th anniversary of CBRE (real estate and investments company) - 1 stamp

2019 - Convocation of Indian Institute Of Technology, Delhi - 1 stamp

2019 - Apollo Hospital blood donation- 1 stamp

2019 - 50th International Film Festival Of India - 1 stamp

2019 - Tourism in Uttar Pradesh -  Deepotsay, Avodhya - 1 stamp

20 December 2019 - Centenary of Assocham - 1 stamp

2019 - 40th anniversary of Indian ITME Society - 1 stamp

2019 - 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha- 1 stamp

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฒ In addition to the numerous items recently listed in Blog 1565 which have been released by the US philatelic agency, IGPC, there are 2 miniature sheets, one containing a single stamp and the other containing 3 different stamps, released with the name of The Gambia printed on them on the subject of the Mantis. No date of issue has been specified.rating:- 0.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Of course, for detailed and indispensable information of new issues from Royal Mail, Ian Billings’ Norvic Philatelic Blog site is the only internet site that one really needs to visit. His coverage of the never-ending developments surrounding the eternal Machin Head definitive series is second-to-none. There seems little point in spending vast amounts of money on paper stamp catalogues when everything one could possibly need to know can be found in the continuing flow of information from Norvic Philatelics and all provided free to its many readers.
Therefore just for completeness of coverage of as many Commonwealth new issues as possible, about which one can track down news and fully in the knowledge that Nordic Philatelics has already provided this information in great depth, I simply list this year’s Machin Head definitives without expanding in detail on this simple list of these issues which I have added to my collection this year.
