It is remarkable, is it not? that the producer of these items sells them with such a wide range of countries' names printed on them - respectable stamp-issuing territories, IGPC clients, Stamperija's clients, Philatelic zcollector Inc.'s clients and so on though not, I think, anywhere in Europe yet. As if new issue collecting wasn't in a bad enough state as it is without this expensive but valueless rubbish to muddy the waters even more.White Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17968199477827266643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2005756131065514338.post-17111010690198278092017-06-04T21:07:39.293+00:002017-06-04T21:07:39.293+00:00The source of these bogus Botswana items seems to ...The source of these bogus Botswana items seems to be a Russian dealer called Topnimarka. (Russian, what a surprise...)
https://topnimarka.com/
Lots and lots of bogus and illegal items in their shop. Also with names of other Commonwealth countries printed on them.
Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Gambia, Guyana, etc.
Stewie1980https://www.blogger.com/profile/17215449288925099410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2005756131065514338.post-41255413908090654742017-06-04T06:21:08.584+00:002017-06-04T06:21:08.584+00:00Dear Chris,

It would make sense for collectors to have access to such circulars so that they can be confident in what they are buying. In the meantime we collectors can help ourselves by passing on information to each other by means such as Stampboards and using our own good sense. As an extension of this we might also be careful in deciding to buy exploitational issues whether they are bogus or not and whether or not they originate with the more infamous of philatelic agencies or more acceptable sources. If the producers can't sell the stuff then they won't produce them.White Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17968199477827266643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2005756131065514338.post-78502699321272100592017-06-04T01:31:27.175+00:002017-06-04T01:31:27.175+00:00Out of interest the UPU publishes a circular notin...Out of interest the UPU publishes a circular noting bogus issues (http://www.upu.int/en/activites/philatelie/circulaires.html).

For many years these were readily accessible to anybody, but now you need to be a member of the UPU to access them. I have sent at least three emails asking for a password, asking for these to be made public again, but no reply. Such a shame that even the head postal organisation doesn't seem to want to make collectors aware of bogus issues.Chris de Haerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01103852699388056651noreply@blogger.com
